In the meantime, Nazriya faced an embarassment during the press interaction ahead of the film’s teaser launch. A reporter asked the actress that she is a Muslim by birth and what she had to go through to do the role of a Christian.
“Being as a Muslim woman, you acted as a Christian Leela Thomas in the film who is a wife of a Hindu guy. What difficulties you faced to choose the script? At which point you selected this character?” the reporter asked.
Without a second thought, Nazriya immediately replied “I just loved the script, the minute Vivek narrated it to me. There was spark and I didn’t do anything specific to play the role of Leela Thomas. I just understood Leela Thomas and did it”
