While filing a petition against Telangana based actress Kalpika Ganesh, Director Balaji Mohan confirmed that he got married to actress Dhanya Balakrishnan of “7 aam Arivu” fame during January month of year 2020. The filmmaker accused Kalpika Ganesh of defaming him and his wife and sought action against her legally.

Days ago, Actress Kalpika Ganesh who predominantly appears in Telugu films, made an unexpected statement saying that actress Dhanya Balakrishna of “Raja Rani” fame got married to director Balaji Mohan who is known for making films such as “Kaadhalil Sothappuvathu Eppadi”, “Maari” etc. Kalpika alleged that Dhanya is not attending her movie promotions because Balaji Mohan is restricting her.

Dhanya debuted through a film named “7aam Arivu” of A.R Murugadoss. Her notable performances came from movies such as “Raja Rani”. “Neethane En Ponvasantham”, “Love Action Drama” etc. After playing as a lead in a number of other language films, she debuted as a lead in Tamil through a film named “Carbon” in which Viddharth played the main lead.

As per the statement made by Kalpika who recently appeared in Samantha’s “Yashodha”, Dhanya got into a relationship with Kollywood filmmaker Balaji Mohan and married him in January month of this year. Further, Kalpika claimed that they didn’t make it public even after one year of their marriage life.

On Dhanya not making her presence to the promotional events of her upcoming movies, Kalpika said “This is making me believe that Dhanya’s husband is preventing her from attending the events” in an interview.

The video in which Kalpika made such comment got removed from youtube. In response, Kalpika lashed out saying that Dhanya used her influence and removed her video. “Youtube videos are supposed to be removed, if they violate any guideline, only after informing the video owner through mail. In this case, I didn’t receive any intimation” Kalpika said according to Indiaglitz. 

Further Kalpika said that Dhanya was trying to reach her phone last night. “Were you trying to intimidate me ? Or, were you scared of me ? Either way, I will follow the right route” Kalpika said.

Now, going by a recent report, the filmmaker filed a suit against actress Kalpika under section 499 of Indian Penal Code, citing defamation, in the Madras High Court. The filmmaker allegedly said that she is making defamatory comments against him and his personal life.

Balaji Mohan has submitted to the court that Kalpika Ganesh had released several youtube videos interlaced with defamatory comments about him and his wife, Dhanya Balakrishna.

A bench consisting of Justice Senthikumar Ramamurthy took cognizance of the instant petition and passed restraining orders against Kalpika Ganesh. The actress was barred from making such defamatory remarks in future. The petition was heard and was adjourned to 23 January of 2023.

In the series “As I am suffering from Kaadhal”, Balaji Mohan and Dhanya acted as a married couple and previously they collaborated in the project” Kaadhalil Sothappuvathu Eppadi”. She also featured in Balaji’s recent directorial “Mad Company”. It is notable that Balaji Mohan got married in June 2012 to an individual named Aruna. In 2013 January, the filmmaker announced his divorce due to irreconcilable differences.
