Worker Killed his Friend-The recent incident in Thudiyalur, Coimbatore, has left the community in shock after a man was killed by his friend over an alleged homosexual advance. Mohammad Basil was a garbage collector in Coimbatore and was only 28 years old. He lived with his wife Pannari on the streets and made their living by collecting garbage every day. It was a tough life, but they managed to make ends meet. Three days ago, Basil met 51-year-old Ramesh, who was also making a living by collecting garbage in Thudialur area. They quickly became friends and started spending their nights drinking alcohol together.

On the night of the incident, Basil and Ramesh were lying on the ground in front of a private sweet shop after drinking alcohol. That’s when Basil made a move on Ramesh, inviting him for homosexuality. Ramesh refused and scolded Basil with abusive words. Enraged, Basil forced Ramesh to walk without his clothes, which further angered him. In a fit of rage, Ramesh picked up a large stone nearby and threw it on Basil’s head, killing him on the spot.

After committing the crime, Ramesh surrendered himself to the nearby police station. The police have since registered a case against Ramesh and are interrogating him.
