Priya Gupta, one of a twitter user and Bollywood film producer, getting severely trolled by her fellow online users for decoding the announcement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by having number 9 as the centre point. Her tweet garnered wide attention unlike her other general tweets. She lauded Modi’s announcement by saying that it is “simply outstanding”.

“On April 5, Sunday, at 9 pm, I want 9 minutes from all of you. Turn off all the lights in your homes, stand at your doors or balconies and light candles, lamps or mobile flashlights for 9 minutes” said PM Modi in a video message on 2nd April’s morning.

“We must altogether, challenge the darkness spread by the coronavirus crisis, introducing it to the power of light. No one is alone during the lockdown, the collective super power of 130 crore people is with every citizen” he said in the video who also asked people not to violate the lockdown while following this.

“Please do not go on roads, lanes or your localities. Do it at your own home’s doorstep or balcony. One must never cross the boundary of social distancing. The only way to break the chain of social distancing is by maintaining social distancing” he said in his video message. “We must all go through this darkness together… those who are affected by this are the poor and marginalised. To overcome this darkness, we must all unite to spread the light… make this darkness of coronavirus meet the light we all spread” said the Prime minister.

This message is receiving mixed reactions from the netizens. Though few people accepted to take part in lighting diya during 9 PM of sunday, many people expressed their disappointment as it was not about any safety measurement or a promising action towards combating the Coronavirus. Priya Gupta, in her tweet said that Modi ji igniting the planet of light and fire for the welfare of India.

This tweet from her got severely trolled by her own followers for the false facts it contained. “We have 8 planets” said one of a twitter user whereas another one said “WhatsApp University is proud of you.”
