Vaishnavi reported about the same in her Instagram handle and is admitted in a hospital for treatment. She also uploaded photos and videos of herself suffering and sought media attention.

Residing in Koratti, Thrissur, Vaishnavi from Perumbavoor is currently undergoing treatment at the Angamaly apollo hospital. She who got married just six months ago and was brought to Koratti, said that she is left starving by her in-laws.

Vaishnavi got married to Mukesh, a native of Palappally Mozhukulam in Koratty, six months ago. She alleged that her husband’s mother’s intimacy with a man who is living within three kilometre radius, led her to suffer bruises and injuries. The man claims to be helping needy women and widows, according to reports.

The incident happened on Sunday night when Vaishnavi was chatting with someone in the house next door. Vaishnavi tried to stop him from entering the house in previous occasions. On Sunday, the man appeared unexpectedly and attacked Vaishnavi in the face and beaten Vaishnavi’s husband who tried to stop him. Vaishnavi was admitted to hospital for treatment immediately.

The Police who reached the hospital, got a complaint from Vaishnavi but couldn’t arrest the accused as he was absconding. Vaishnavi accused her brother-in-law and Mother-in-law of torturing her physically. Mukesh revealed the details through his wife’s Instagram handle.

Vaishnavi, in a statement said that her mother-in-law used to harass her from the time she got married. She used to lock her up in the room after her husband goes for work. When she starved for food and water, her Mother-in-law used to ask her to drink the water from the toilet, said Vaishnavi, the assault victim.
