Actress Taapsee Pannu who has been stretching her supportive hand to Rhea Chakraborty who is being blamed for the demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, now acknowledged a tweet which asked what happened to the case of Sushant Singh Rajput after the end of Bihar polls. She posted the tweet after Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik granted bail by the special NDPS court.

Showik was arrested by the NCB on September 4 in the drug case as the Narcotics Control Bureau is investigating in connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The 24 year old was accused for procuring Ganja for Sushanth, who was in relationship with Rhea before his death in June.

The charge under section 27A of the Narcotics drugs and Psychotropic substances Act attracts a maximum of 20 years in jail. Showik’s bail plea was being rejected in the past on this key ground and he was in jail for almost three long months.

Ina detailed order, a special judge had said that there are reasonable grounds for believing that accused is not guilty. “The ingredient of section 27 A of NDPS act are absent in the case of applicant” the judge’s statement said who also considered the age of Showik and the fact that he is still a student. He also doesn’t have any criminal antecedents, the court said.

Now, Taapsee Pannu who showed her support to Rhea when she got her bail on October 7, now came up with a tweet supporting the family. After Showik got his bail, TV anchor Rajdeep posted a tweet questioning what happened to the case of Sushanth after Bihar polls.

Reacting to this tweet, Taapsee Pannu wrote “Scarred a family for life.

When Rhea got her bail after court believed that she has no connection with the drug dealers, Taapsee posted a similar tweet. The court believed that the applicant that is Rhea is not guilty of any offence under sections 19, 24, or 27 (a) or any other offence involving commercial quantity. “There are no other criminal antecedents against her she is not part of the chain of drug dealers. She has not forwarded the drugs illegally procured by her to somebody else to earn monetary or other benefits. Since she has no criminal antecedents there are reasonable grounds for believing that she is not likely to commit any offence while on bail” the court said.
