Kamal Haasan who penned a powerful letter to prime minister Narendra Modi has came up with a series if tweets to slam the state government now. His tweets surfaced after government restricted volunteers to provide food and masks to the poor and needy. In their statement, state government said that volunteers who are willing to provide free food to the public, might create unnecessary crowd which will cause community spread. Instead they are asked by state government to provide it to the political leaders or authorities of their district who will take care of the social distancing while providing the food.

On seeing this statement, Kamal Haasan said “அண்டை மாநிலங்கள் சில COVID19உடன் போராட தனியார்,இளைஞர்,ஓய்வு பெற்ற மருத்துவர் எனப்பலரின் உதவியை நாடிப்பெறுகின்றனர். என் அரசு ஏழைக்கு உதவுபவன் கையைத்தட்டிவிடுகிறது. வேலைதெரிந்த நம் ஆட்சியரை வேலை செய்ய விடும் அமைச்சர்காள்.This is no time for commision or omission.People are watching” Kamal Haasan said in one of his tweet.

Followed by this, the “Naayagan” actor posted the same tweets in English by saying that there is no time for brownie points.

Further he criticized the government for not taking appropriate action regarding the lockdown extension like other states. He indirectly asked Chief Minister of Tamil whether he is waiting for the order of his “Master”, mentioning Prime minister Narendra Modi. “While other state CMs take an autonomous call on lockdown, What are you waiting for, my Honourable CM? Your Master’s voice? My voice is of the People and from them. Wake up sir while you sit, still in your chair.” his tweet read.

Earlier, While the entire country did what Prime Minister Narendra Modi exactly said regarding the Diya challenge, Actor and politician Kamal Haasan expressed his disappointment with a long note. He asked Modi if the union government wanted to be a “balcony government only for the balcony people”. He mentioned about the implementation of 21 days lockdown announcement with just 4 hours to go which left many people in lowest rung of the social and economic level left puzzled.
