Indian skipper Virat Kohli has finally watched actress and wife Anushka Sharma’sΒ ZeroΒ and had some nice things to say about the movie.
Released on Friday, the much-awaited flick opened to polarising reviews worldwide. While movie critics hailed the performances of the stars, the Twitterati didn’t take it easy on the romantic-drama, giving out brutally honest reviews.
The film, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, was not only panned by critics but has failed to impress the audience as well. After a lukewarm start at the box office, Zero has not managed to redeem itself in its opening weekend.
Directed by Aanand L Rai, Shah Rukh plays the role of a vertically challenged man, named Bauaa Singh. While Katrina plays a popular actress battling alcoholism and Anushka essays the role of a wheelchair-bound scientist.
Taking to Twitter on a lazy Sunday, Kohli praised his wife’s performance, calling it ‘outstanding,’ for it was a challenging role according to the Indian Team captain.
Virat Kohli took to Twitter to shower praise on Zero, particularly wife Anushka’s performance as a scientist suffering from cerebral palsy. “Saw @Zero21Dec and loved the entertainment it brought. I enjoyed myself. Everyone played their parts well. Loved @AnushkaSharma performance because I felt it was a very challenging role and she was outstanding,” he wrote.

Of course, this did not go unnoticed by trolls, who attacked the cricketer for praising a “crap movie”. One Twitter user wrote, “Thank god you chose cricket over reviewing films coz you’re pathetic at that.” Take a look at some of the tweets:
