The theft occurred twice, with the total amount of stolen money being Rs 25,000. Despite filing a police complaint against both the individuals, the actress expressed her lack of confidence in their promises to return the money within a week. The individuals in question were not below the poverty line, but were considered to be Annadankachis, which means they were known for providing food and assistance to the poor. One of the individuals was a house painter and the other was a mechanic. Both individuals stole out of necessity, with one being caught on CCTV and the other confessing due to a call to his ex-wife’s number.

On a recent day, Police, an acquaintance of mine, informed me that he had received the money from the painter who had stolen Rs 20,000 from me. This news brought me immense relief as I had been deeply upset since the money was stolen. One of the main reasons for my distress was the fact that we, as individuals associated with the cinema industry, are often seen as easy targets for theft and exploitation. This perception is especially prevalent among people who offer us work opportunities in the same apartment complex.

The theft of Rs 20,000 from me was not a small amount, but the thief may have assumed that I would not go to the police. However, I was fortunate to receive assistance from Mr. Balamurugan and Mr. P. Suresh, who helped me recover my stolen money. I am also grateful to Mr. Anbazhagan, the Head Constable of E4 Abhiramapuram Police Station, who assisted me in retrieving my money in a simple and efficient manner.

While I am relieved to have received the stolen money back, another individual who took Rs 5,000 has informed me that he will return the money this week. I am cautiously optimistic about this news and hope that he will follow through with his promise.
