“Vijay Was The First Choice For That Character” – Vikram Opened

Actor Vikram who is busy promoting his upcoming magnum opus “Ponniyin Selvan”, revealed that actor Vijay was the first choice for “Vanithiya Thevan” role and Telugu star Mahesh Babu was about to do the titular role of “Ponniyin Selvan”. Vikram said that he was chosen to do the role of “Aditha Karikalan” even at that time and there was no other actor was considered to do the role by the director.
The dream project of converting “Ponniyin Selvan” book into a film was planned by many leading stars including MGR and Kamal Haasan. The dream is coming true only through the seasoned filmmaker who is known for giving master pieces in the history of Indian cinema. The most awaited trailer and songs of the multi starrer got released in the presence of Ulaganaayagan Kamal Haasan and Superstar Rajinikanth.
Starting with the voice over of Kamal haasan, the 3 minute 23 seconds long trailer showed the glimpses of the characters played by prominent stars such as Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi and others. The film is slated to release on 30th of September and the bookings are going on in full swing across the world.

The film crew has been promoting the film by visiting the cities across the countries. In one of the interviews, Vikram revealed that Thalapathy Vijay was supposed to play the role of Vanthiya Thevan which is played by Karthi now. He also said that Mahesh Babu was considered to do the role of Raja Raja Chozhan that has been played by Jayam Ravi. The actor said that he was the first choice to play “Aditha Karikalan” ever since the project initiated.

Thalapathy Vijay enjoys a huge fan base across the globe and is known as one of the influential personality from the cinema industry. The way he performs in the screen inspires millions of youngsters and many of them, including kids could be seen imitating his style, looks etc.
