Senior actress Shyamala who is playing an important role in “Kaatrukenna Veli” serial of Vijay television, a couple of days ago, came up with a post slamming the channel management for not providing enough attention for the serial she is being a part of. The actress who participated in the 7th edition of Vijay television awards, left dejected due to the welcome she received from the host and expressed her displeasure over her serial going unrecognized despite being a good content comparing to other serials.

In her long post, Shyamala who is playing the role of a negative character in the serial, challenged the channel authorities to give her serial prime slot to make people decide whether it engages them or not. Currently, the serial is streaming at 1PM in the noon.

Popular Television actress Sridevi Ashok dropped a comment supporting Shyamala’s views. Posing with an award in the picture, Shyamala said that the dress she was wearing belongs to her but not the award.

Shyamala who represented the “Katrukenna Veli” team in the award function, also questioned why no artist from her serial are not interested in taking part in the award program. The actress also said that she was given the last bench in the award show and also vented her emotions out saying that she doesn’t like being an unwanted child.

“Potuirrukka dress enathuthaan aana pudichirrukka award ennadhu illai …Very sad & disappointed after attending Vijay awards yesterday. l represented my seriel ‘Kaatrukennai Velli”, which I have been telling you in every post ,it comes in Vijay tv at 1 pm, but when I went to the awards show, there was not a single poster of Kaatrukennai Velli in the entire venue. We were
last benchers,and didn’t get a single award” said Shyamala through her post.

“On an objective point of view, Kaatrukennai Velli seriel is much much better
than most seriels I have seen,then why this prejudiced jury? Are we the black sheep of the family that they don’t want anyone to see?? Why is Vijay tv not promoting Kaatrukennai Velli like it’s promoting other seriels?? Why aren’t
Kaatrukennai Velli team participating in any Vijay tv shows?..” she questioned.

“You can take this as an old woman ranting or seriously think about it & do something about it. We want our presence felt. We deserve it. We are not Destiny’s Unwanted Child…If everything is fair & went on judiciously, I
request Vijay tv to give us a Prime time slot & see how we fare there. That is the real competitive spirit. We are ready to take this challenge if we still fail you can put us in the back bench then” read her post.

 Sridevi Ashok who us known for acting in serials for a long time, endorsed Shyamala’s words and said that she talked with concerned people about but there was no response. In return, Shyamala thanked the actress for the support show.

Many other followers stretched their supportive hand to Shyamala and said that the serial deserves much more appreciation. “Kaatrukenna Veli” revolves around a young girl who rums away from studies to pursue her studies.
