It has been revealed that income tax officials raided Vijay Sethupathi’s house in Kilpauk and his office in Valasaravakkam in Chennai. He was out of town when the raid happened. However, sources now reveal that it wasn’t exactly a raid in the actual sense of the term.
Income tax officials conducted a routine check on his assets three days ago in Kilpauk and Valasaravakkam. Vijay Sethupathi’s close aid refused to reveal further details about the checks. They also added that the people are blowing up this routine as a raid.
The news of IT raid on Vijay Sethupathi’s house has come as a huge shock to people in Kollywood.
On the work front, Vijay Sethupathi is awaiting the release of director Prem Kumar’s 96, which is scheduled to release on October 4. He also has Seethakathi, Super Deluxe, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Petta in the pipeline.
In the press meet of 96, the movie, one of the reporters asked Vijay Sethupathi about the raid to which the actor corrected him by saying that what happened was not “raid” but only “survey”. He further added that it is free publicity for him and it is good to be rumoured often.
On addressing about the issue the actor also said that it became a trend in our place to talk rubbish and later say that “it was done by my admin” which was a statement that indirectly mocked H.Raja, BJP member of Tamilnadu. He also openly bashed him by saying “They also say that my voice was faked after talking something bad in public, so i will use the technique. What they surveyed is not my home at all but cinema set. They build a cinema set like my home and checked it” he funnily answered the press.
He also talked about the film and how he is a senior of Trisha as far as age is factors are concerned. He indeed a unique person on and off screen. Ain’t he ??
