Marriage ceremony of Kollywood’s most loved couple Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara got completed in the morning of Thursday with the presence of the couple’s close relatives and celebrities. Right from Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan to Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth, almost all the prominent celebrities from Indian film industry has been making their presence one by one for the couple’s marriage, pictures and videos of which are surfacing in the internet platforms.

In the meantime, a video of a woman who identifies herself as Vignesh Shivan’s “Periyamma” gave an interview to Thanthi Tv saying that the filmmaker didn’t invite her for the marriage ceremony and expressed her displeasure. However, the woman said that she wants the couple to live happily and is expecting them to visit her house for a feast.

“I am Vignesh Shivan’s Periyamma. They say today is his marriage. We were expecting him to invite us but he didn’t. It is disappointing. I would feel happy if the couple visits our house for a feast even after their marriage. But I am not sure if it will happen. I want them to be happy irrespective of where they are” she said in an interview to Thanthi TV.

“We are thinking about him and don’t know if he is thinking about us. We are ready to welcome them whenever they decide to come” she further said. “His father would bring him to us for his every holiday. We used to visit various places together as a family. He belongs to Periyappa’s blood and he should have given in a thought. We are not sure why he is hating us” said Vignesh Shivan’s Periyamma.

“Elders should have advised him to respect us but they failed to do it. I even advised them to visit our “Kuladheivam” temple but they visited it without us and completed all the rituals. It feels really disappointing’ she further added.

Vignesh Shivan debuted to Tamil film industry through Simbu’s “Podaa Podee”. The filmmaker developed a romantic relationship with Nayanthara during the making of his second film “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan”. After the success of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Vignesh Shivan directed actor Suriya in “Thaana Serntha Kootam”. He also started a production house with Nayanthara and named it as “Rowdy Pictures” with which he and Nayanthara produced “Nettri Kann” by having the latter in the lead role. Some other films such as “Rocky”, “Koozhangal” were also bagged by the production house which is also making a film with Bigg Boss fame Kavin named “Oor Kuruvi”.

The “NRD” maker and the lead lady of the film are in a love relationship for more than 7 years and fans, media never missed to question them about their marriage whenever the duo appears together in public events. Now, the couple has finally married each other with the presence of their loved ones. However, the filmmaker’s gesture of not inviting his closest relative has became subject to online criticism.
