A video of current Indian captain Rohit Sharma convincing Virat Kohli to enter the ground again to give him the guard of honour is trending in social media platforms. In online, fans of both the cricketers could always be seen involving in verbal spat over proving idol of whom is best. Reports surfaced saying that both the cricketers are rivals as well. Now, on seeing this gesture from Rohit Sharma and Kohli thanking him for giving him such a honour made Indian cricket fans happy.

Kohli joined the likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Ishanth Sharma to the 100 test club for India.

“I honestly never thought that I will play 100 test matches. It has been a long journey, played a lot of cricket over the course of these 100 test matches. So, just grateful that I have been able to make it to 100. As I said, knowing the amount of cricket that is played in today’s day and age. God has been kind, I have worked really hard on my fitness” Kohli said on the evening of the first test.

“It’s a big moment for me, my family and my coach, who is also very happy about this test match as far as I’am concerned. It’s a very very special moment for me” the cricketer added.

Meanwhile, a video of Kohli being convinced by current captain Rohit Sharma to enter the ground to provide him the guard of honour. Reluctant Kohli walked back again and thanked Rohit for his lovely gesture.
