A viral video that shows a young air hostess involving in a heated argument with one of the passengers of Indigo airlines inside a flight is going viral in social media platforms with many reacting in various ways. It has been reported that the incident took place over the food provided to the employee to whom the air hostess repeatedly says that she is not his servant but an employee.
The incident took place inside an Istanbul-Delhi flight and the video was shared in Twitter by a user named Gurpreet Singh Hans. The airlines company has issued their stand regarding the incident while reactions are flooding in the social media platforms.
In the video which is going viral in social media platforms, one of the cabin crew members could be seen serving food to the passengers while the aforementioned incident took place. The air hostess could be seen trying to reason with the passenger who had problem with the meal provided to him and losing her cool after a point.
She could be heard requesting him to speak politely with the crew. As he continued to yell, and screamed at the air hostess, saying “Shut up”, she asked him to mind his tone and refrain from speaking to crew in such manner.
“Why are you yelling?” the passenger questioned to which the crew member replied saying “Because, you are telling at us”.
” No, I’m sorry sir, you cannot talk to a crew like that. I’m peacefully listening to you with all due respect, but you have to respect the crew as well. You cannot talk to me like that, I’m also an employee here” She further said while another crew member tried to pacify her.
The passenger’s statement about air hostess being a servant of passengers added fuel to the fire as the air hostess shouted “I’m an employee, I’m not your servant”

“The crew also deserve respect. They are taught to maintain their cool and calm, serve people with a smile, even in the most challenging situations. But, that doesn’t mean people can be rude and insult them. Back your crew, @IndiGo6E. Don’t abandon her” a twitter user said reacting to the video whereas another one said “Flyers MUST respect the crew . It’s a thankless job . I do hope the lady here is not reprimanded in any way by @IndiGo6E . It looks like she was forced into loosing her cool by a boorish flyer ..”

Indigo and crew members are one of the worst ( no offence). I always had bad expierenced with them , they simply say NO for everything . They can show a bit of empathy and sympathy towards passenger . Ppl will now talk about humanity between no one know what actually happened.

Reacting to the incident, Indigo airlines said “We are aware of the incident that took place on flight 6E 12 from Istanbul to Delhi on December 16, 2022”
“The issue was related to meals chosen by certain passengers traveling via a codeshare connection. IndiGo is cognizant of the needs of its customers and it is our constant endeavor to provide a courteous and hassle-free experience to our customers” Indigo’s response further read.
“We are looking into the incident and would like to assure that customers’ comfort has always been our top priority. We are committed to providing the best experience at all times” Indigo said.
