Video of an elderly man making kids who are 15 years of age and above to pledge on getting married to individuals who belong to Brahmin caste, has sparked outrage in social media platforms. With government and activists are trying to prevent the caste discrimination that is taking place in the state in every possible way, the viral video of an elderly man manipulating small kids baffled the Internet users.

The incident took place at the “500th function of Vishnu Sarasara Naamam”. The placard which was kept behind the man read “Tamil nadu Brahmanar Sangam” and the hall was filled with nearly 100 people who most probably belong to Brahmin caste. The video is being widely shared in Internet with public worrying about how the speaker is influencing the young minds who are believed to construct a progressive environment in the future.

The video shows the man asking kids who are 15 and above to stand in group facing the “Sabha”.. Further, he demands them to repeat what he utters. “We want a wonderful Brahmin tradition in the future, right ?” the man says before calling the kids. “15 years old boys and girls, come here and stand facing the “Sabha” he invites.

“I who belong to Brahmin community, would follow the traditions of Brahmin community throughout my life in an uninterrupted manner” says the man and asks the kids to repeat it. “In this 500th function of “Vishnu sarasara Naamam”, I promise to marry an individual who belong to Brahmin community in the future in front of Lord Vishnu and this “Sabha” members” he says and makes the kids repeat it.

“I will remain Brahmin all my life” he ends with the people in the hall clapping for him hardly in a way of expressing their happiness. Watch the video below :
