“Vanangaan” Director Bala recently announced that actor Suriya will no longer be a part of the upcoming film, Vanangaan. The collaboration between the two was initially announced in 2021 and was highly anticipated by fans. A recent news about the film’s actress named “Lindaa” filling police complaint due to the non payment for her work is making headlines.

However, according to the statement released by Bala, certain changes were made to the script which made it “unsuitable for someone like Suriya”. The director did not go into detail about what these changes were, but it seems that they were significant enough to cause Suriya to back out of the project altogether. Reports suggests that Arun Vijay replaced Suriya and the shooting is currently on.

The announcement has left fans of both the actor and the director disappointed, with many expressing their frustration and confusion online. Currently, Starring Arun Vijay and Roshini, the film is being shot in Kanyakumari, with supporting actors and actresses from Kerala joining the production.

One of these supporting actresses, Linda, found herself at the center of a serious incident when she was allegedly attacked by a man named Jithin who is working as a co-ordinator in the movie. He is said to have heard about Linda’s concerns regarding payment, which is what led to the altercation.

The attack left Linda injured, and she was treated for her injuries as an outpatient at Kanyakumari Government Hospital. It has been reported that Linda was expecting a payment of Rs.22,600 for her three says work. When She asked Jithin about her payment, he reportedly assaulted her physically.

Linda sustained an injury on her cheek and was treated as outpatient the Kanyakumari government hospital. She also filed a Police complaint regarding the same. In the meantime, Production house and the Director or any authority of the film’s production side, didn’t make a statement on the same

In fact, the film was previously being shot in Kanyakumari with Suriya in the lead role, but was halted due to a dispute between Bala and the actor.
