On Friday, Tamil nadu health secretary Dr. J Radhakrishnan said that the vaccines ordered by the state had not yet arrived and there was uncertainty about when they would arrive. The statement was made a day before the beginning of vaccination for those aged between 18 and 44.Now, actor Siddharth who has been voicing out against the central government since the emergence of COVID 19 second wave has came up with a tweet asking “Where is Vaccine ?”

“We have placed orders for 1.5 crore vaccines and so far, the Central Government has not allocated the numbers. There is also no cavity on how many vaccines we would possibly get from the two makers – SII and Bharat Biotech,” J. radhakrihsnan said to media on Friday. “Instead of waiting till tomorrow (and disappoint people), I wish to clarify (now) that we are unsure when and how much out of 1.5 crore doses of vaccine sought by Tamil Nadu, will arrive,” he reportedly said.

“All states are facing the same issue, and whether we will get the vaccines tomorrow is a question and we are in touch with the companies, it is for them to revert and let us know,” he added and assured that there is sufficient stock for those who are 45 and above. Along with Tamil nadu, several other states in the country are reporting the same issue as they have hinted a possible delay in the beginning the third phase of the vaccination programme due to the shortage in the COVID 19 vaccination stock.

Now, in the morning of Saturday, actor Siddharth came up with a tweet asking where vaccines are. “Vaccine enga da dei?” he asked in his tweet which blew up in no time.

“Read that there is chance of an anti viral COVID pill by the end of the year (pfizer). This is great. We need to vaccinate asap. However, no point in harping about getting vaccines if there are no vaccines. But where are the vaccines?” the actor asked through one of his tweets who further added “Also read there is no official GOI COVID War Room to tabulate resources and requirements on a national level. This is insane. The Center and the States must use all technology and resource to communicate clearly what is needed and what is available.”

“A month long nationwide lockdown seems to be the way forward. Can we afford it though and sadly, could we have avoided getting here? He also urged people to get vaccinated by demanding it to the government and requested them to be safe. “Please avoid overcrowding in vaccine centers. Protect yourself and those around you. Register for the vaccine, and I hope and pray and you must demand you get it soon. The faster this government vaccinates us the safer we are. Spread the word. God be with us all.” he said.
