A twitter user named “Jai Hind” raised a complaint in social media against the website of Employees’ provident fund Organisation, India for publishing important notifications in Hindi language. Tagging the official twitter account of EPFO, he asked them to stop imposing Hindi language on users who doesn’t know Hindi. He questioned how the authorities assumed that non-Hindi users could read and understand what they have published in the website. He also asked them to stop harassing the “Native language users”.

The tweet blew up as soon as the official twitter account of “EPFO” replied to him in Hindi language again. They asked the user to submit his complaint in a certain website to get the matter completely investigated. The reply was completely written in Hindi and people (including us) understood it through “Translate Tweet” option that is provided in Twitter.
Uploading a screen shot of the website’s index page, Jai Hind wrote “Will “EPFO stop this #HindiImposition on non-#Hindi users? How can you assume non-Hindi readers read & understand this? Reality Check. Not everyone in #India understands Hindi let alone read it! Stop harassing #native #language users” in his tweet.

Many other users of the micro blogging social media site, started reacting to the reply of EPFO. “Remember that You EPFO guys get paid from tax payers money across India..this reply in Hindi is not acceptable and mere arrogance” read the reply of one of twitter users whereas another one said “I think admin of @socialepfo don’t know English !! May be he is from North India”
