On a Wednesday morning, Janhvi Pandey, a 25-year-old resident of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, slapped a security in-charge after a heated altercation, triggering a wave of attention both at the temple and on social media platforms.

The episode unfolded when Pandey, who had traveled to Ujjain for a pilgrimage to the revered Mahakal temple, arrived at the temple premises seeking details about VIP parking. Suspicions were raised when Pandey was noticed repeatedly chewing on cardamom pods. The security in-charge speculated that this action might be an attempt to mask the scent of alcohol consumption. She engaged with the security personnel near the control room after spotting a guard named Ankit Pathak parking a bike. The security in-charge, concerned that she might be trying to mask the scent of alcohol, questioned her about potential liquor consumption.

Pandey’s reaction to this question was far from anticipated. Rather than addressing the query calmly, she became increasingly hostile, resorting to verbal abuse and threats directed at the security personnel present. The situation rapidly escalated, leading Pandey to physically confront around six guards in her agitated state. The escalation culminated in her slapping the supervisor, Akash Karayya. Even attempts by guard Pooja to intervene and control the situation proved futile as Pandey continued to resist and scuffle.
