Kollywood actor and son of former deputy chief minister Udhayanithi Stalin grabbed the attention of Internet after making a derogatory statement on Chief Minister Edappadi K Pazhaniswamy. During a meeting with his party members and followers, Udhayanithi made a joke on chief minister Edappadi Pazhaniswamy and V.K Sasikala, secretary general of AIADMK and a close aide of late Chief minister J.Jayalalitha.

Udhayanithi Stalin, youth wing secretary of DMK, is busy campaigning for his party for the upcoming Tamil nadu assembly election, trolled Chief minister Edappadi Pazhaniswamy by enacting how the followers of DMK party used to mock him during his campaigns. Addresing the party cadres at the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni Assembly constituency, Udhay was trying to take a dig at Edappadi K Pazhaniswamy and ended up making a vulgar remark against him.

“When I say “Edappadi Aatchi” (Edappadi’s government) they (followers) would insist me to term it as “Edupudi Aatchi”, (A Slave’s government). When I ask them whom he is helping by being a slave, a reply will come from the crowd saying that he is a slave of Prime minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile another voice will come from the crowd saying that he is not an “Edupudi” but a “Dead body”. That’s how he fell in front of Sasikala’s feet right ?” Udhayanithi said amidst the laughter sound of his party supporters.

“He fell on her feet by sneaking in between tables and chairs” said Udhayanithi and made a derogatory comment which made the crowd to laugh continuously. Realizing the meaning of his statement, Udhayanithi also started laughing, video of which is doing rounds in social media platforms.

Many users of the online platforms condemned Udhayanithi Stalin and said that his comment was made in a bad taste. “The political culture of TN shows no signs of changing. And the audience is clapping. Sad.” said Sumanth, a political analyst whereas Actresses Khushbu and Kasthuri slammed him through their tweets.
