For uploading a tweet praising DMK leader MK Stalin for the immediate action he took against his own party supporters who caused damage on one of the “AMMA” canteens, Director Venkat Prabhu subjected to a severe trolls and criticisms in the micro blogging social media site. Sharing the tweet of DMK MLA Ma. Subramaniam which he updated about the actions took by the newly elected Cheif minister, Venkat Prabhu said “Hatsoff” and his tweet blew up in no time. Most of the comments that were surfaced under the tweet of the “Goa” maker criticized him for not tweeting about/condemning the accused.

On the morning of Tuesday, a group of DMK men destroyed one of the “Amma” canteens which is located in Chennai’s JJ Nagar. The video which went viral in social media platforms showed a group of men breaking name boards of the canteen and throwing vegetables on the ground. The incident happened after DMK won the Tamil nadu assembly election with a large margin. AMMA canteens were launched in the year 2013 by late AIADMK leader J. Jayalalitha to provide quality food at low price.

As soon the video of unlawful act went viral in social media platforms, around 50 people gathered at the spot and demanded against those who committed the crime. Police officers of JJ Nagar rushed to the spot and inspected about the crime. Many people including the politicians who belong to AIADMK party condemned the act of the miscreants.

Ma. Subramaniam of DMK said that the party had taken disciplinary action against the cadre who caused the outrage. The accused were identified as Navasundar and Surendran and the duo got expelled from the party according to reports. The tweet of Ma. Subramaniam said that DMK leader MK Stalin has directed the police officials to take legal actions against the duo. The newly elected Chief minister also ordered the members to relocate the name board of “Amma” in the canteen.
