The lockdown period has been extended by the Indian government till May 3rd. The announcement was made by the Prime Minister of our country on the final day of initial lockdown period which is 14 of April. The decision was taken as the number of corona cases in India are increasing day by day is large manner. So far more than 10,000 positive corona cases has been reported in the country. Tamilnadu has reported more than 1000 positive cases with 11 deaths.

To avoid community spread in India, Prime minister of the country asked people to stay home for 19 days more which is till May 3. Daily labours, Industrialists, Entrepreneurs and people working in almost every field are suffering financially due to the Corona outbreak. Film industry also got hit extremely bad as the release dates got postponed and film shoots got interrupted.

“Master” which was supposed to get a theatrical release on 9th of April got postponed. Vikram’s Cobra, makers of which released their first look recently forced to reach India while they are shooting in a foreign location. Surya’s Soorarai Pottru and Ajith’s Valimai are also facing similar problems in the production of their films due to the corona crisis. Meanwhile, actor Prithviraj who is known among Tamil audience for appearing in Tamil films such as “Saththam Podathey”, “Ninaithaley Inikkkum” went to Jordan for the shooting of his upcoming film “Aadujeevitham” few days back.

Now, due to this nationwide lockdown, in which flights from foreign countries are not allowed, Prithviraj got stuck with his crew in Jorgan. Few days ago, Prithviraj penned a message to his fans, family members and to the authorities of India in which he said that the film’s shooting got stopped on the 24th of March itself. He said that his crew of 58 members are looking forward to get back to India on the first available opportunity.

Yesterday, on the day of Vishu Sadhya, Prithviraj’s wife Supriya Menon posted an emotional message by uploading a picture of them together during last year’s Vishu. Her post was written in a way of recalling the moments that they shared together ans she expressed her sadness of not being with her husband at this time.

“This picture was taken during last Vishu. We had an amazing lunch that day with the families of all those who help us be who we are, day in and day out. This year our family like many others is split apart by thousands of miles due to corona virus and the subsequent lockdown. However, We still hope and pray that all of us can be united with our loved ones really soon.” she wrote in her post with hashtags “Missing Thaadi Kaaran”, “Waiting For Prithvi To Return”.
