For past one week, a report on multifaceted Kollywood star Sivakarthikeyan donating the remuneration that he earns from writing lyrics to the family of late lyricist Na. Muthukumar is doing rounds in social media platforms. While fans were wondering what connection Sivakarthikeyan and Na. Muthukumar had in the past, details on why the actor is helping the lyricist’s family has been revealed. It has been reported that Siva’s most favourite and personally connected song “Theivangal Ellam Thottre Pogum Thanthai Anbin Munne” song from his “Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga” was written by the legendary lyricist which made Siva to feel that he is indebted to him forever.

Sivakarthikeyan has became the darling of masses in a very short span of time comparing to his senior actors. Not only the fans, he is also impressing the people from his own industry. When he received “Entertainer of the year” award from Vijay in the year 2014, the “Thalapathy” actor said “I have watched all his films. His dance, acting and comedy are impressive. Kids are loving him a lot. He grabbed a spot among kids”.

As we all know Sivakarthikeyan started his career as a mimicry artist. Despite initial reluctance to participate, he won the show “Kalakka Povathu Yaaru”. He did Television hosting for a long time and attracted a separate fan following for him and it helped him after venturing into cinema. Prior his hosting career, he appeared in short films including his friend Atlee’s Mugapputhagam, Identity, Kurahl 786 and 360°. After debuting in director Pandiraj’s “Marina”, Siva went on to become one of the busiest actors of Kollywood film industry.

Apart from acting, Sivakarthikeyan is also producing films for others and for his own. The actor is involved in singing songs, writing lyrics for songs as well. Now, for the past one week, a report is doing rounds stating that Sivakarthikeyan donates the money he is earning through writing lyrics to the family of late lyricist Na. Muthukumar who is a two-time National award winner for his works in Thanga Meenkal and Saivam.

The lyricist who had been suffering from jaundice for a long time, died on the morning of 14 August 2016, at his Chennai residence of cardiac arrest. He is survived by a son, a daughter and his wife Jeevalakshmi. It has been revealed that Sivakarthikeyan has been donating the money he is earning through writing lyrics as a gesture of expressing his gratitude to the lyricist who wrote “Theivangal Ellam” song in his film “Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga”.

Sivakarthikeyan lost his father Doss in the year 2003. The actor expressed his grief over the non-existence of his father in several stages. The song “Theivangal Ellam” which was written praising fathers across the world, is one of SK’s most personal favourite and he got featured in it as well. In a way of paying back to the lyricist who gave him such a soulful song, Sivakartthikeyan decided to pay the money he is earning through writing lyrics to the family of Na. Muthukumar, says reports.
