She started anchoring when she was nine for “Splash”, a channel for kids and then moved on to work in commercials. She also acted in several short films before venturing into mainstream cinema. One of her most notable short film is Balaji Mohan’s Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi alongside Adith Arun, which was later made into a feature film in 2012 under the same name.

The 30 year old Chennai born actress completed her under graduation in “Psychology” in Women’s Christian college. Now, ahead of her long awaited “Nenjam Marappathillai” and “Chakra” release in which she played the role of one of the leads, the actress appeared in an interaction with Indiaglitz youtube channel.

Someone asked me whether I would do “adjustments” through a phone call.” said Regina and added that she couldn’t understand the meaning of it at that time.

“I thought he was asking me to do “adjustments” in my remuneration. It happened 10 years ago and I was just 20 years old at that time. I said to him that my manager will talk about it to him, thinking it was just about my “remuneration”. Later I realized that he was talking about a different kind of “adjustment”.” said Regina in the interview.

The “Maanagaram” actress further said that she disconnected the call as soon as knowing the real intention of the individual. “After that incident, I never faced such situation in my life personally. But I am sure some girls have faced something like this. It could be true or it could be false. Lot of women would tell lies to create stories as well.” the actress said.

“Forget the film industry, that kind of injustice is taking place in many other industries. A girl who is working in a super market will have a story to tell you. That kind of world is where we are living in.” she said. Regina also shared about how she got physically harassed by a male during her college days near “Ega theatre”. “It doesn’t matter. This is one of the things that will probably happen. I don’t know. I personally never experienced something called “Casting couch” as such.” she added.
