Eight men were arrested in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore today for allegedly sexually harassing women in their twenties. The men have been regularly targeting women for the last seven years the police told NDTV.

Twenty-five-year-old Thirunavukarasu, alleged leader of the gang that sexually harassed hundreds of young girls, was recently arrested by the district special team police.

According to a police source, the district police recently arrested a three-member gang identified as Sabari Rajan (25), Satheesh (28) and Vasanth Kumar (24). Police also seized over 40 porn videos from them which they had shot, while sexually harassing their victims. Police have also arrested a few more in connection with the case. The elusive two were identified as Manikandan (26) and their leader Thirunavukarasu (25).

This incident created massive outrage in the state Tamilnadu where many started protesting in order to get the culprits what they deserve. Apart from the public who are very much angry on the rapists, many celebrities started to raise their voice for the victims.
