On Monday, Sivakarhikeyan came up with a tweet in his official Twitter handle recommending the recently released Tamil web series “Vilangu” which had his “Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga” co-star Vemal in the lead role. Siva spoke high of the series through his tweet and wished the best to all the cast and crew of the web series which moved Vemal who came up with a reply tweet expressing his gratitude to his “brother”.

“Vilangu” is a investigative thriller web series which was directed by Prashant Pandiyaraj and bankrolled by Madan of Escape artists. The 7 episodes of the series which got released in the Zee 5 app, receiving positive reviews from the audience and critics. Through the mere word of mouth, the series is being watched by wide number of audience and tweet is Sivakarthikeyan who enjoys 7 million followers in twitter is going to boost the exposure of the tightly written series.

Vemal who played the role of “Parithi”, a sub-inspector in the series, delivered a solid performance unlike some of his previous ventures. The actor who is known for acting in films such as “Kalavani”, ” Vaagai sooda va” in the past, went off the track and chose scripts that didn’t suit him and faced a number of failures back to back. Now, through “Vilangu”, Vemal made a solid come back to the Tamil film industry.

The plot of “Vilangu” revolves around “Parithi” played by Vemal and a beheaded head which goes missing under his surveillance. Followed by the missing head, a series of crimes are taking place in the village which comes under his jurisdiction and the entire series lies on how Parithi connects the dots to solve the crimes. Along with Vemal, Bala Saravanan, Ineya, Munishkanth, Ravi, Reshma and all the other actors exhibited a decent performance and left the viewers engaged throughout.

As the series is doing well among the online audience, Sivakarthikeyan came up with a tweet promoting the series to boost it among the mainstream audience. “Watched #Vilangu Tamil web series..
