Thalapathy Vijay’s 2019 released “Bigil” was a flop, claimed a number of online users by sharing a video of Producer Archana Kalpathi who said that “Love Today” happened while she was in a “low” position in her life after facing failures. The video is doing rounds in social media platforms with many fans of other actors degrading the box office performance of the Thalapathy starrer which had him in dual roles as Father and Son duo.

Bigil, a 3 hour long film revolves around a youngster who is an aspiring football player, diverts himself from his dream to take revenge of the murderers who killed his father. He then forms a women football team to achieve his father’s dream of providing an identity to his slum through excelling in football game.

During the release time of the film, Creative producer of AGS Entertainments, Archana Kalpathi posted an emotional tweet to celebrate the 100 days theatrical run of her movie Bigil. She thanked the fans of actor Vijay from all over the world for making it happen. She even declared that Bigil is the highest grossing, maximum trending and record making film of the year 2019.

After producing “Bigil”, AGS entertainment took a long break and came back with a comedy entertainer ” Naai Shekar” by having comedy actor Sathish in the lead role. Followed by that, they bankrolled Pradeep Ranganathan’s “Love Today” which became a blockbuster hit, considering it’s budget.

The film “Love Today” became a subject to huge accolades from fans and experts of Indian film industry. Pradeep Ranganathan who directed and performed in the film, is currently basking in the success of his second venture and is rumoured to direct Thalapathy Vijay and Superstar Rajinikanth in his next film due to Love Today’s huge success.

“Love Today”, reportedly collected more than Rs. 70 crore against the budget of just Rs. 5 crore and became one of the most profitable films of the year 2022. Makers of the film decided to dub and release it in Telugu language. In the Telugu region, the film was ended it’s theatrical run with nearly Rs. 18-20 crore gross.

The Pradeep directorial “Love Today” starring himself and Ivana got released in theatres recently and is still running successfully among the audience of Tamil nadu. Along with the lead stars, Yogi Babu, Sathyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena and many youtube stars were included in the cast list. Produced by AGS, the film impressed it’s target audience and is receiving positive reception from fans and from the critics.

Now, in a recent event, producer Archana Kalpathi of AGS, made a statement about how she handled failures in her life as a result of which many reactions over “Bigil” being a flop film  surfaced in the internet platforms. Talking about the success of “Love Today”, Archana said that she is feeling the same kind of “high” after making a speech at the “Bigil” audio launch.

“Love Today is special because there will be a first time “high” in your life and then you will face a lot of failures and low moments. And you will get high again, that’s what “Love Today” is” Archana said in the event.

“After “Bigil”, COVID emerged and theatres were shut. So, I was jobless for the first time in my life. I was feelin low. That’s when I started listening to the scripts. We did ” Naai Sekar” and it did well. After that we gave “Love Today” which is a special movie for whole Cinema itself, considering the post-COVID situation” Archana Kalpathi said.
