Tamil Cinema Producer Arrested for Land Fraud: A Tale of Deceit and Betrayal

In a shocking turn of events, the Central Crime Branch of Avadi police arrested John Max, a film producer also known as John Jinny Max, on charges of cheating a land buyer to the tune of ₹9 lakh. The arrest came after a complaint was filed by Mohanavel of Manavalanagar in Tiruvallur, who claimed to have fallen victim to a fraudulent land deal orchestrated by John Max.

Seizing the opportunity, John Max accepted ₹9 lakh from Mohanavel in 2018 and handed over the original documents related to the land. He even executed a power of attorney in Mohanavel’s favor, seemingly solidifying the legitimacy of the transaction.

However, the situation took a sinister turn when John Max duplicitously informed Mohanavel that there was an encumbrance on the property. Using this as an excuse, he retrieved the original documents from Mohanavel, ostensibly to resolve the issue promptly. Unbeknownst to Mohanavel, John Max clandestinely canceled the power of attorney given to him and surreptitiously executed another power of attorney in the name of Tamil Selvan.

With Tamil Selvan now as the new power of attorney holder, John Max proceeded to perpetrate the ultimate act of betrayal. He deceitfully executed a sale deed, transferring the land ownership to Suresh Krishna, a resident of Hyderabad, using the authority vested in Tamil Selvan. This elaborate deception resulted in Mohanavel losing both his hard-earned money and the land he had rightfully believed to be his own.

The police, acting on Mohanavel’s complaint, delved deep into the complex web of deceit spun by John Max.
