Two men arrested in Chennai for sexually assaulting an actress before robbing gold and other valuables from her home. The actress who is not revealed to the public due to privacy purpose, in her complaint, said that the accused sexually assaulted her and robber cash and gold jewellery worth Rs. 50,000 at knifepoint.

According to Times now news, the accused forced the actress to strip. The incident took place on 8th of March at the house of the victim, according police report. Later, a complaint was registered at R9 Valasarawalkam station.

The actress is said to be acted in several movies as a supporting artist. Police said that they managed to identify the accused with the help of CCTV footage. The two accused has been identified as Selvakumar (21) and Kannadasan (37). While the former is living in Maduravoyal, the latter is residing in Ramapuram, according to reports.

Cops have recovered three mobile phones, two two-wheelers and gold jewellery from the possession of the accused. The report of Indiaglitz said that the actress is a divorcee and is living alone. She who was financially suffering due to the COVID 19 pandemic for the past two years, registered her cellphone in the locanto dating app and solicited customers for prostitution, according to Indiaglitz.

It has been reported that Kannadas befriended with her through the dating app and became her customer visiting her often in her house. After knowing that the actress is living alone and had money and jewels in her home, Kannadasan plotted a plan to rob her.

He used Selvakumar to contact the actress as her customer and when the actress opened the door to let him in, Kannadasan too entered the house forcefully. In her complaint, the actress said that the accused has knives in their hand which made her not to cry for help.

With the help of CCTV footages that were planted in the neighbouring areas, Police traced the culprits down quickly and slapped rape and robbery charges against them. Reports also suggests that the actress has been warned for using such dating apps to solicit customers.
