Tamil actress Kasthuri who is pretty much vocal about her opinions about sports, politics and cinema through her official twitter handle, on Monday, commented on an advertisement of KL Rahuleot, one of the prominent Indian cricketers of new age era. On seeing him posing for an underwear brand, Kasthuri said that it is good to break stereotype like Rahul and hoped for other sports personalities to make presence in such ads. Later, the actress also replied to cheap comments that surfaced on her post.

KL Rahul, right hand top order batsman and the captain of Lucknow Supergiants in the Indian premiere league, became the brand ambassador for XYXX, innerwear and loungewear label. The brand, a month ago, launched “Play your way” campaign, featuring KL Rahul in different concepts, among which one of them had the 29 year old donning the underwear alone in different poses.

Sharing the series of pictures, actress Kasthuri, through one of her tweets, said that sad cricketers endorsed many products such as drinks, snacks and even clothing brands but always shied away to endorse undergarments and appreciated the bold move of Rahul and even lauded his looks in boxers.

For her post, the actress received a number of regressive comments from the users of micro blogging social media post. Reacting to those comments, she said “And the cheap shitholes who are passing crass comments in this thread are precisely why we don’t have more sportsmen advertising a relevant product . Can’t understand why morons with no balls get so excited by underwear” through her next tweet.
