Tamannaah Bhatia, a popular Indian actress known for her restrained on-screen intimacy, surprised many when she broke her long-standing “no-kissing” rule for her role in Lust Stories 2. The anthology, which is set to release on Netflix, features Tamannaah alongside actors like Vijay Varma, Neena Gupta, and Amruta Subhash.

In a candid conversation with Film Companion’s Anupama Chopra, Tamannaah revealed that she made the decision to break her 18-year-old policy because she wanted to work with director Sujoy Ghosh. She expressed her happiness that Ghosh considered her for the part, especially since she had rarely portrayed intimate scenes throughout her career. Tamannaah admitted that she used to feel awkward as an audience member witnessing such scenes and had firmly believed she would never engage in on-screen kissing. However, she viewed her decision as a personal evolution and a way to break free from self-imposed limitations.
