Tamannaah Bhatia, the 33-year-old Indian actor, has completed 18 years in the showbiz industry. In a recent interview, she spoke about the challenges female actors face in the industry and how she has managed to sustain a successful career.

Bhatia talked about the constant rumours that surround female actors, especially around their personal lives. She said that female actors get married every Friday, according to the rumours that do the rounds. However, Bhatia seems to take these rumours in her stride and does not feel the need to clarify or deny them.

“We have done a film together. Such rumours keep going around. Clarifying all of them is just not necessary. I have nothing more to say about it.” Said Tamannaah according to Hindustan times 

Months ago, According a number reports from renowned publications, actress Tamannah Bhatiya who is known among Tamil audience for pairing up with Vijay and Ajith, caught kissing actor Vijay Verma during the New Year event in Goa, India. A viral video showing the same is going viral in social media platforms with various kind of reactions from fans.

She recently worked with actor Vijay Varma, and their equation has been the talk of the town for a while now. Vijay has used nicknames for her on his social media posts, and a video of them ringing in the New Year together had gone viral. Bhatia believes that the notion that female actors have a ‘peak’ after which their career declines is absurd. She said that she never settled for what people thought she should be doing time and again, especially in a female actor’s career. Bhatia believes that people want female actors to settle and say ‘this is enough,’ which is often considered the peak of their career. However, she thinks it’s tragic to have a peak because the moment you touch it, the next moment you go down the peak.

Throughout her 18-year career, Bhatia has noticed that the speculations surrounding female actors are much more than their male counterparts. She even shot down rumours about her getting married to a businessman by dressing up as a man and introducing the avatar as the businessman in question. Bhatia joked that she has already been married too many times, and when she does get married, people might think it’s just another speculation.

Bhatia’s next project is the Netflix anthology Lust Stories 2. She hopes to continue exploring different roles and not be limited by people’s expectations of what a female actor should do. She believes that female actors should have the freedom to reinvent themselves and present themselves in many different parts.
