Reports surfaced suggesting that the Taliban officials in Afghanistan slammed Pakistan for sending inedible wheat and appreciated India by saying “Jai hind” for providing better quality wheat. The remarks led to a war of words in the micro blogging social media site.

Video of a Taliban official slamming the Pakistan government for the quality of wheat they are sending is being circulated in social media platforms. “Wheat donated by Pakistan is not edible : Taliban official” tweeted an Afghan journalist named Abdulhaq Omeri by uploading a video of a Taliban official.

Afghan people were seen thanking India for the quality wheat in social media platforms as well. “Thank you India for your continued support to the Afghan people. Our public to public-friendly relations will be forever. Jai Hind,” Hamdullah Arbab tweeted.

Last month India had started sending wheat to Afghanistan as humanitarian assistance. The second convoy of India’s humanitarian assistance carrying 2000 MTs of wheat left Attari, AmritsarAmritsar on Thursday for Jalalabad, Afghanistan, said the ministry of External Affairs.
