Dentist turned IPS Officer Dr. Varun Kumar who is serving as the Superintendent of Police for Madurai, grabbed the headlines of leading media portals after replying to a video which showed a stand up comedian claiming that state board students have low IQ and dumb to his audience. The IPS officer mentioned about his achievements as a state board student and pinned his tweet in his profile to create awareness against the belief on state board students being “dumb”.
Abhishek kumar who is known for conducting shows and uploading videos in his Instagram handle, in one of his shows, discussed about how people change their pronunciation of “Renault” considering their circumstance and atmosphere.
“Maam, I establish upfront, dumb, state board, IQ level is low” said Abhishek Kumar for pronouncing “Renault” as “Renault-uh”. A woman from the crowd said “same, same” and Abhishek replied back to her saying “But when you enter a company, your pronunciation will change, right” to make his audience laugh.

A twitter user shared the video condemning the stand up comedian for demeaning state board students. “What’s that state board, low IQ?? What’s the biggest achievement in your life so far?? You are ending meets by making racist jokes to a group of people who are similar to you, right??” the user questioned by uploading the video.

The post garnered wide reach among the online users and many criticized the stand up comedian for the comment he made about state board students.
To our surprise, Madurai district’s SP Dr. Varun Kumar IPS happened to see the video and the officer decided to drop a reply to it in order to create an awareness among the public.
