Sivakarthikeyan’s gesture of helping a poor girl who was working at a puncture shop to continue her studies won hearts of public. The actor who came to know about her after reading her story in “Vikatan” magazine, came forward to help her continue her studies. The actor also bought the family new clothes to celebrate the auspicious Pongal festival. Video of the girl student named Devasankari thanking Sivakarthikeyan is doing rounds in the social media platforms with people lauding the actor for his huge heart.

Devasankari who completed class 12 was forced to work at a puncture shop due to the poverty of her family. While interacting with Vikatan magazine, she expressed her wish of pursuing a nursing course. Sivakarthikeyan who came know about the hardship of Devasankari, came forward to help her study further. He reportedly approached Devasankari through his friend and agreed to pay her college fees.

The “Maan Karate” actor has got admission done for Devasankari in a nursing college at Nagapattinam and agreed to pay all her expenses. In a gratitude video, Devasankari said “I was working at a puncture shop for the past three years after completing my 12th standard. I had a wish to get educated, that too in nursing field”

“Since my childhood, my family spent a lot of money in saving me. I went trough a heart operation and one my kidneys failed and my father financially struggled a lot to treat me. I didn’t have the heart o ask my father to spend money on my education and he didn’t ask me to study as well. I started working at a puncture shop to meet ends” Devasankari further said.

Vikatan magazine published my story as a news. Sivakarthieyan Anna came to know about me through the news and approached me through his friend. He asked whether I am ready to study further and I immediately accepted. When he asked me what course I wish to study, I said I am willing to do nursing. He promised me to take care of the expenses and encouraged me to study” Devasankari said.
