Mr. Local is an upcoming Indian Tamil language romantic action comedy film written and directed by M. Rajesh. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara in the lead roles, marking their second collaboration after Velaikkaran. The movie is awaiting for it’s release in few days.
Meanwhile the press conference of the movie took place recently in which the makers of the movie including Sivakarthikeyan and Robo Shankar participated. While interacting with the media people, Robo Shankar who is considered as one of the leading comedian in Kollywood industry shared his thoughts on the way media people approaching a movie during special screenings.
“I don’t know why the screening hall is in pin drop silence whenever a movie being screened to the press people. Do you guys watch it in the same manner while watching with your family ?? I expected at least any one of you to clap but it didn’t happen. Because if you 100 of you enjoyed this movie, I will come to a conclusion that crores of people will enjoy it in theatres.” said Robo Shankar to the press.
“Velai nu vanthutta Vellaikaaran” is the only movie where I saw many press people enjoyed while it is being screened. why don’t you guys encourage the hero and director’s arrival as a gesture of respect ??” Robo asked to which one of the media person replied by saying that there is a huge difference between watching a movie and observing it. “We are observing the movie” the reporter added.

In a way of defending him, Sivakarthikeyan while giving his speech said “I already informed Robo that press people are not our followers and they are not here to get a glimpse of us. They are here to do their work and it is the way they do it. After listening to everything he again asked me whether he talked anything wrong.”

Sivakarthikeyan also told fans that Mr. Local is an all-out entertainment and there is no special message that they are planning to give fans through the film. He also added that there is no real villain in the movie. He said, “Simple and jolly film with no message just a clean fun filled summer, colourful entertainer. Casting is crucial with a battery of comedians. Enjoy.” The film is set to release on May 17, 2019 a day after Vijay Sethupathi’s Sindhubaadh. The trailer of the film had already created quite the stir on social media.
