The entertainment industry has been abuzz with controversy lately, as producer Chitti Babu made some shocking claims about actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The actress wasted no time in hitting back at the producer, albeit indirectly, through a post on her Instagram account. However, Chitti Babu has now responded to her jibe, claiming that her “glamorous days are over” and calling her “old.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, a well-known actress in the South Indian film industry, has recently been making headlines after her latest film Shaakuntalam failed to perform at the box office. The film, directed by Gunasekhar and produced by Dil Raju, was made on a budget of around Rs 60 crore and was sold to a streaming giant for Rs 35 crore. However, according to reports, the film suffered a loss of Rs 20 crore, leaving the producers with a significant financial burden.

Adding fuel to the fire, acclaimed filmmaker Chittibabu made derogatory comments about Sam’s career after the failure of Shaakuntalam. He claimed that her career “as the heroine is finished and she cannot get back to stardom again.” In a recent interview with Filmy Looks, he also accused Samantha of resorting to “cheap tactics” to promote her movies and doing “whatever offers she is getting” after losing the status of a star heroine. He went on to say that he did not have any interest in Shaakuntalam and criticized Samantha for playing the lead role despite allegedly losing her heroine status.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu had earlier shared a screenshot of a Google search on her Instagram story, asking, “How do people have hair growing from ears?” Fans quickly caught on to the fact that this was an indirect way of responding to Chitti Babu’s comments about her. The producer had earlier called her “zero” and claimed that her career as a “star heroine” was over.

In a recent interview with Filmy Looks, Chitti Babu had also accused Samantha of using cheap tactics to promote her films. He claimed that she had done an item song in the film Pushpa The Rise after her divorce, simply to make ends meet. He added that after losing her status as a star heroine, she was doing whatever offers came her way and using sentiments and sympathy to promote her films.

Samantha, however, was quick to respond to Chitti Babu’s comments. In her Instagram post, she had shared a screenshot of a Google search result that suggested increased testosterone could cause hair growth in unusual places, such as ears. Her caption, “#IYKYK,” was widely interpreted as an indirect response to Chitti Babu’s comments.

But the producer has now hit back, claiming that Samantha’s “glamorous days are over” and that it’s time for her to move on to supporting roles. He also called her “old” and claimed that she was no longer a suitable choice for the role of the iconic beauty Shakuntala.
