Fans of actress Samantha got upset over Nagarjuna for keeping mum when the actress faced social media harassment after announcing about her divorce and giving clarification when media portals carried a baseless report claiming that he broke his silence. Nagarjuna, brushing off the rumours, said that news that is spreading about himself making a comment on Samantha and Naga Chaithanya’s divorce is absolute nonsense and completely false. He also requested media to refrain from posting rumours as news.

The senior actor’s tweet irked a number of Samantha fans who expected him to talk while Samantha was going through a rough patch after announcing about her divorce. However, fans of the actor defended him saying that samantha was the one who should have stood for herself like how Nagarjuna is standing for himself and his family.

It ll started after a number of media portals carried a news saying that Nagarjuna made a comment on the divorce of his son and actress Samantha. The news portals said that Nagarjuna in a recent interview named Samantha as the one who wanted the divorce first.

“Naga Chaithanya consoled me very much as he thought I will be worried. They both have been together for 4 years in the marriage life but no problem like this came between them. Both were so close and I don’t know how it came down to this decision. They even celebrated 2021 New Year together, it seems the problems have raised after that” the news portals quoted this statement as Nagarjuna’s.

As soon as the news went viral among the online users, Nagarjuna came up with a tweet in his official Twitter account, writing “The news in social media and electronic media quoting my statement about Samantha & Nagachaitanya is completely false and absolute nonsense!! I request media friends to please refrain from posting rumours as news” to stop the news from spreading.
