Actress Sai pallavi who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film “Gargi”, in an interview with VJ Parvathy, talked about the importance of condoms. The actress said that the education on sex is important and the usage of condom is must. The actress felt that the sex is being seen as a taboo in the society and it is the reason why the workers in medical shop see people who ask for condom strangely.

Sai Pallavi, is an Indian actress and dancer who predominantly appears in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam-language films. She is a recipient of several awards including two Filmfare Awards for her performances in the films Premam and Fidaa. The actress recently grabbed headlines after making a statement comparing the killings of Kashmir Pandits and the mob lynching of an individual for “cow smuggling”.
In the recent interview for Galatta youtube channel, Sai Pallavi talked about the importance of sex education in India. Parvathy said that people looked at her strangely when she conducted a public opinion video about “condom” and asked the actress to give her opinion about it. “It is because of judgement maybe. Physical act of love is looked as a taboo, thought it is taking place in daily manner. Condom is not being used for fashion but it is needed for hygiene” the actress said.

“Lot of people and children are suffering due to the diseases. People are not aware of the diseases due to the lack of sex education in our society. Parents should have conversation about the diseases that causes when you don’t use protection. Another thing is, judgement. The thought about being judged by the medical shop Anna and others, makes people to avoid condom but it’s essential to be aware” the “Premam” actress said.
“It is equal to being injected to protect COVID 19 virus” the actress added. Talking about women being judged based on their clothes, Sai Pallavi said that she felt uncomfortable when audience started pausing her images in a video and objectified her body. “After that, I chose to be this way (wearing saree) so that I don’t have to feel uncomfortable about how people are seeing me” Sai Pallavi said.

“Just because I am wearing saree, it doesn’t mean I am a good girl. If you ask about me in my house, they would have so many complaints about me. Also it doesn’t mean a girl is bad in character just because she is wearing a modern dress. It is very wrong. If my kid choose to wear small clothes, I would let her as she believes that everyone in the world see her how her mother sees her” Sai Pallavi added.
