Sai Pallavi is a popular Indian actress who primarily works in the South Indian film industry. She was born on May 9, 1992, in Kotagiri, Tamil Nadu, India. Her father, Senthamarai Kannan, is a Central Excise Officer, and her mother, Radha Kannan, is a homemaker. Sai Pallavi completed her schooling in Coimbatore and later pursued her medical studies at the Tbilisi State Medical University, Georgia. However, she dropped out of her studies in the final year to pursue a career in acting.

Sai Pallavi made her acting debut with the Malayalam film ‘Premam’ in 2015, directed by Alphonse Puthren. Her performance in the film was critically acclaimed, and it earned her several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. After her successful debut, she starred in several other Malayalam films, including ‘Kali,’ ‘Fidaa,’ and ‘Athiran,’ among others.

In addition to her Malayalam films, Sai Pallavi has also worked in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She made her Telugu debut with the film ‘Fidaa’ in 2017, directed by Sekhar Kammula. Her performance in the film was well-received by the audience and critics, and she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu. She went on to act in several other Telugu films, including ‘Middle Class Abbayi,’ ‘Padi Padi Leche Manasu,’ and ‘Love Story,’ among others.

Sai Pallavi made her Tamil debut with the film ‘Diya’ in 2018, directed by A. L. Vijay. Her performance in the film was appreciated, and she won the Behindwoods Gold Medal for Best Actress – Tamil. She went on to act in other Tamil films such as ‘Maari 2,’ ‘NGK,’ and ‘Karu.’

Sai Pallavi shared that she used to feel insecure about her physical appearance, particularly her voice and pimples. She believed that these traits would hinder her chances of becoming an actress. However, her opinion changed after she was selected to play the lead role in the film “Premam,” directed by Alphonse Puthren. The positive response from the audience after the film’s release helped her gain confidence in herself and her abilities.

In the interview, Sai Pallavi emphasized that it’s essential to prioritize an actor’s acting skills over their physical appearance. She also revealed that she now feels confident even when she’s not wearing makeup, and she believes that everyone’s perception of beauty is different. She stated that if wearing makeup makes someone feel confident, there’s no harm in it, and it’s entirely up to the individual’s preference.

Apart from acting, Sai Pallavi is also a trained dancer. She has been trained in Bharatanatyam and has also learned Kuchipudi and contemporary dance forms. She has performed in several stage shows and has also participated in a dance reality show.

In 2021, Sai Pallavi was reportedly approached to play the female lead in the upcoming Telugu film ‘Pushpa: The Rise.’ Directed by Sukumar, the film stars Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. However, the film’s team has not yet confirmed the news of her casting.
