Prime Minister Narendra Modi took his oath of office yesterday, along with his ministers, for the second consecutive term at the Rashtrapati Bhawan after his party BJP witnessed a massive victory in the recently-concluded national elections. PM Modi and his council of ministers were administered the oath by President Ram Nath Kovind. The dazzling oath-taking event was held at the presidential palace Rashtrapati Bhavan and was attended by world leaders, celebrities and politicians.

S.Ve Shekar, Tamilnadu’s BJP member criticized those who trended #Pray_For_Nesamani hashtag instead of trending Modi’s oath ceremony. In his tweet he wrote “பொய் பிம்ப நேசமணிக்கு தமாசாக கவலைப்பட்ட அப்பாவி நெட்டிசன்களுக்காக பரிதாபப்படுவதா,இல்லை இந்த மீம்ஸை வைத்து இன்றய இந்தியாவின் மாபெரும் நிகழ்வை திசை திருப்பிவிடலாம் என நினைத்த அறிவிலிகளுக்காக பரிதாபப்படுவதா என யோசிக்கிறேன். வித்தியாச மண்.”

Cine stars such as Rajinikanth, Shahid Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut were among the guests who attended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony on Thursday. Sidharth Roy Kapur, President of the Film and Television Producers Guild of India, Vivek Oberoi, Anupam Kher, Madhur Bhandarkar, actor-comedian Kapil Sharma and producer Boney Kapoor were also a part of the event, held at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
