Georgina Rodriguez, girlfriend of star football player Cristiano Ronaldo slammed Fernando Santos, coach and manager of Portugal team after the team got eliminated from Fifa Worldcup 2022. On Saturday, Ronaldo and co were defeated by Moracco 1-0 in the semi final of the tournament on Saturday. Youssuf En-Nesyri scored the only goal of the game in the 42nd minute of the game with a towering header.

Santos decided to exclude Ronaldo from his starting line-up for the second time in a row. The strategy worked against Switzerland in the round of 16 with Goncalo Ramos scoring a hat-trick. Against the Atlas lions, the Benfica starlet led the attack and he couldn’t make much impact.

Ronaldo was eventually introduced in the 51st minute of the game. He had one effort in goal, which was well saved by Yassine Banou. Moracco clung on their lead, ensuring Portugal’s elimination from the tournament. Ronaldo left the field with teary eyes. It is believed that this was the last time Ronaldo appears in a Fifa world Cup stage.

Georgina Rodriguez, Ronaldo’s partner came up with a strong message in her official Instagram handle, reacting to the loss of her boyfriend’s team.

“Today, your friend and coach made the wrong decision. That friend for whom you have so many words of admiration and respect. The same one who, when putting you on the field, saw how everything changed, but it was too late” read the Instagram story of Georgina.
