Attending the event of “Rabba Janda” song launch which is from her upcoming Bollywood movie “Mission Manchu” in which she is pairing up with Siddharth Malhothra, Rashmika made the controversial statement. “Bollywood romantic songs were a thing. For me, while growing up, romantic songs meant Bollywood numbers. In South, we have mass masala, item numbers and dance numbers. This is my first Bollywood romantic song. I’m so excited because it’s so good” she said in the event.

Rashmika’s opinion about romantic numbers isn’t completely wrong. South songs these days are more about mass numbers with a lot of skin show and hero-worshipping.@iamRashmika #RashmikaMandanna pic.twitter.com/NXOkhzP0bX

“This is Not the first time #Rashmika landing into troubles with her controversial statements. Even #RishabhShetty mocked her on her behaviour of hesitating to mention debut production house name. Now she made comments on South Indian songs terming them as masala and item numbers” a user said slamming the actress whereas another one wrote “#RashmikaMandanna has attained a special talent to piss off her previous fan base once she shifts to a different city. Bangalore/Hyderabad/Mumbai. Brands South as Masala & Item Songs! But She got her Initial Hits with Romantic Dramas, Blockbuster Music both in Kannada &Telugu”

Once you get into celebrity status, you need to measure your words before you speak in front of media. Clearly Rashmika lacking this important skill. Until now, only Kannadigas were outraged now whole of South might hate her.

I agree Bollywood had lovely romantic songs with wonderful backgrounds growing up but evn south had such songs.
Here it looked like she was buttering bollywood now by degrading South movie making.
She cud say,i enjoy Bollywood romance simply without mentioning south.#Rashmika https://t.co/Szkv68IyPT— Selenophile🇮🇳 (@aquarius_soul15) December 29, 2022
Most of the actresses are Jokers, just for sake of 1 or 2 shitty bullywood movies, they degrades South films and songs which are their actual reason for their stardom. Rashmika got best romantic songs in Kannada and Telugu recent years.

Her own people hate her.. see I don’t know what happened to her relationship and all.. but she hails from Karnataka and got her big start from one of the best kannada movie of that year.. bare minimum she could do is respect that opportunity.. which she clearly does not.

Earlier, Rashmika caught into controversy after failing to mention the production house from Karnataka she got debuted through while talking about her journey to the film industry. Rumours on Rashmika getting banned from Kannada film industry also did rounds after the actress said that she didn’t watch “kantara” directed by the filmmaker who launched her through “Kirk Party”.
