The 26-year-old Kannadiga star had tweeted a video of her rehearsing the dance routine, which she had hoped to perform at the IPL 2023 opening ceremony. Despite not being able to perform it on the big day, Rashmika’s fans have been sharing the video widely on social media.

Nevertheless, the opening ceremony was a success, with Tamannah Bhatia stepping up to fill the shoes of Samantha Ruth Prabhu with her own dance performances. She danced to popular songs like Oo Antava, Chogada, and the Diljit Dosanjh song Lover. Tamannah expressed her joy at being able to perform on the stage for the IPL, especially after the league had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
