U eat beef & glorify your beef eating on camera & think that Hindus can be fooled by photo op at temple? pic.twitter.com/o7SSukhejl

Ahead of the release of their ambitious project “Brahmmastra”, director Ayan Mukerji, actors Ranbhir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt visited the Mahakal temple to get blessings for the success of their film. While the filmmaker entered the temple for Darshan, Alia Bhatt and Rabhir Kapoor were not allowed to enter.
In a viral video, a Bajrang Dal activist could be seen saying that they are peacefully protesting against the actor but Police started can-charging them. “We are protesting against Ranbhir Kapoor and won’t let him enter the Mahakaleshwar temple. He made derogatory statements against out Gaumatha. He had said eating beef is good” he reportedly said.
Watch the video below :
CSP Om Prakash Mishra said said that the protestors started fighting with the Police. “We were making arrangements as some VIPs were about to visit the temple. During which some people started gathering here to protest against them. One of the protestors started fighting with the police officers” the official told media.
The cops also said that they have taken action under section 353 (Assault of criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of the Indian Penal code. In the year 2011, Ranbhir Kapoor said “My family is from Peshawar, so a lot of Peshawari food has come with them. I am a mutton, paya, beef fan. Yeah, I am a big beef fan” the actor said, video of which got resurfaced in the internet platforms.
The boycott gang has been terming the actor as “Beef guy from Peshawar” and has been demanding ban for his upcoming movie. Here’s some of the reactions that surfaced under hashtag “Beef” :
The ‘Beef Guy’ Ranbir Kapoor, his arrogant wife Alia Bhatt & the confused ‘Brahmastra’ director, Ayan Mukherjee were booted out of Ujjain’s Mahakal temple by the protesting hindus there. Eating beef and marrying to a Malechha is not what our religion says… https://t.co/bMhmoB74JX

Beef eaters will not be allowed in any Hindu temple wherever we have the wherewithal to enforce it. Lack of ability to enforce it doesn’t mean we have abandoned the principle. What’s permissible is not determined by Pew survey. Keep that argument for next debate with Tharoor. https://t.co/TltOTbtycS
