Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina announced about his retirement from International cricket on the same day as Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Now, after the announcement on Dhoni’s inclusion in the Indian team as mentor for the upcoming World Cup T20 surfaced, Raina uploaded a tweet wishing Team India the best for the ICC tournament. The tweet made many of his fans emotional which is evident through the comment section.

Board of control for cricket in India announced the squad for team India for the upcoming T20 world cup which is going to take place from 17th of October in UAE. With Ravichandran Ashwin making it into 15 member the squad, BCCI surprisingly announced about Dhoni’s presence in team India as a mentor.

Virat Kohli is going to lead the team whereas Rohit Sharma has been appointed as vice captain. KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wicket keeper), Ishan Kishan (wicket keeper), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Rahul Chahar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami has been added in the squad.

Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar has been named as standby players. BCCI announced about Dhoni’s addition by quoting a statement of Jay Shah, BCCI’s secretary. BCCI secretary Jay Shah appeared in a video and thanked Dhoni for accepting the request.

Many fans, former cricketers and cricket experts welcomed this decision of BCCI. Mohammed Kaif, Wasim Jaffer, Dinesh Karthick are some of the main names who reacted to the decision made by the board. Suresh Raina who is currently playing only on IPL, came up with a tweet lauding India’s decision. He who said India’s squad looks balanced, expressed his happiness over Ravichandran Ashwin making his come back into the team.

Reacting to this tweet, a twitter user tagged Virat Kohli and asked him to make Raina as a fielding coach and threatened to protest. “Have a fantastic IPL -> Comeback from retirement -> Join the world cup squad. A request from all Raina fans” tweeted an emotional fan.
