Radhika Apte is one of the busiest actress in Indian film industry. She acted across India and known among Tamil audience for her appearance in Rajinikanth’s Kabali movie which was directed by Pa. Ranjith. Apte has spoken out against sexual harassment in the Indian film industry. She supported the #MeToo campaign in India, stating that she was hopeful that it could create change if enough major industry figures were to participate.

Now the actress has made it to the headlines for making a sensational statement on her leaked footage from her upcoming movie “The Wedding Guest”. Pictures from a sex scene from the movie have surfaced online and are going viral. Reacting to the leak, Radhika has said questioned why is it being labelled as Radhika’s sex scene when it also features Dev.

She stated it as “the psychotic mentality of the society” after the unreleased film’s particular scene got leaked. “The film The Wedding Guest has many other beautiful sequences and the fact that one particular sex scene got leaked because of the psychotic mentality of the society.

The 33-year-old actress also pointed out that the scene was being attributed to her, ignoring the presence of her male co-star. The leaked sex scene featured both Radhika Apte and Dev Patel in it. But the scenes are being spread in my name. Why the people are not getting spread under the male actor Dev Patel’s name,” a Bollywoodlife report quoted Radhika as saying.

The film based on a mysterious British Muslim man (Dev Patel) on his journey across Pakistan and India. This isn’t the first time that a sex scene from Radhika’s film has been leaked online. Earlier, her scenes with Adil Hussain from Leena Yadav’s Parched were also leaked.

Radhika Apte, known for her work in films like AndhaDhun, Phobia, Ahalya and the web-series Sacred Games, said earlier in an interview with news agency IANS, “I am very comfortable doing intimate scenes. For an actor, scenes having intimacy or performing any kind of scenes, is a part of the job.”

“I have been brought up watching world cinema and I have travelled a lot so I am very comfortable with my body. I have seen people performing nude on stage in India and abroad.” she added.
