Leading Tamil news portal Puthiya Thalaimurai revealed the salary details of top tamil heroes per film. The report is being widely circulated by the fans of the top tier tamil actors and has instigated a verbal spat between them.

According to the news portal, Vijay who was last seen in “Beast” directed by Nelson Dilpkumar and is currently working on a bilingual project which is tentatively titled as “Thalapathy 66”, is getting a whopping amount of Rs. 118 crore as his salary per movie. Vijay has been receiving salary lesser than Rs. 20 crore till Atlee’s Theri, says the report.

It is notable that the actor is expected to enter politics and is believed to contest in one of the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly election as a Chief Minister candidate.

Followed by Vijay, actor Ajith kumar who is considered as his rival as far as their profession is considered, is receiving Rs. 105 crore as his salary. The actor who was last seen in “Valimai” of H. Vinoth, has collaborated with the director again for the film which is tentatively titled as “AK 61”. Both the filma were produced by Boney Kapoor.

Superstar Rajinikanth, an actor who has been maintaining his legacy for the past 4 decades, is currently getting the same salary as Ajith kumar. The actor’s recent venture was “Annatthe” produced by Sun pictures and the production company has committed Superstar and Nelson to do one more film for them which is also yet to be titled. It has been reported that Rajinikanth accepted to do the film for Rs. 80 crore as it is a compensation film for the loss made by Annatthe.

Kamal Haasan who was inactive in film industry for the past few years due to his political stint, is currently producing  “Vikram” under his own banner Rajkamal Internationals. However, Puthiya Thalaimurai has reported that the actor is receiving Rs. 35 crore as salary.

Actor Suriya and Sivakarthikeyan were getting paid Rs. 28 crore and Rs. 25 crore respectively, according to the report of Puthiya Thalaimurai. Dhanush who recently finished acting in a film of Russo Brothers for a Netflix project, has been receiving Rs. 20 crore as his salary, says the report.
