Priya Bhavani Shankar is a name that needs no introduction in Tamil cinema. The talented actress has been working tirelessly in the industry and has made a name for herself with her impressive performances. In the past few weeks, she has been on a roll with three releases – ‘Agilan‘, ‘Pathu Thala‘ and ‘Rudhran‘. However, it is not just her acting skills that have caught the attention of her fans, but also her recent Instagram post, where she shared a video from 2011.
In the said video, Priya Bhavani Shankar can be seen as a novice reporter interviewing top director Gautham Vasudev Menon at an event honoring music director Harris Jayaraj. The actress, who now looks stunning and confident on screen, shared some life and love lessons with her fans based on her own experiences.
Priya Bhavani Shankar’s first lesson is a powerful one, where she advises her fans not to let anyone define them based on their looks or body. She shares her own experience of being bullied and put down for her appearance, but she did not let it define her or her future. She encourages her fans to not get carried away by Instagram pictures and reminds them that there is no definition for beauty. She mentions how actors spend a bomb on skin care, lifestyle, and have a 10-member team to dress them up, which a normal college girl cannot afford. She advises them to not stress and live their life to the fullest.
Her second lesson is a reminder that money cannot buy everything. She shares an anecdote where people would tell her that money could even change the color of a crow. She reminds her fans that even if they have the money, it is their own decision to choose what they want to do with it.
Priya Bhavani Shankar’s third and final lesson is about love. She thanks her long-time boyfriend Rajvel for being with her through thick and thin. She advises her fans to hold onto that one person who looks at them the same way today as they did in the beginning.
In her post, She came up with a note “Awww❤️ this is so nostalgic & very special guys! Whoever digged this footage out, thank you🥰 means a lot!! I can see I have had a very interesting journey. So few things.. ” She said.
“1) boys/girls, ppl will bully you, put you down for your looks and body. DO NOT let them define what you are and what you are going to be.
2) there is NO definition for beauty. An actor spends a bomb on skin care, lifestyle, which a Normal college girl CANNOT afford (you can see in the video) So it’s alright you get tanned or do not have great skin or you are not in a great shape. Don’t get carried away by Instagram pictures. I have a 10 member team to dress me up today. THAT IS NOT A BEAUTY STANDARD and that’s definitely not a goal. It’s just a job. Don’t stress it and live your life full (just like the girl in the video😛)
3)kaasu vandha kaaka kooda color aidum nu sila per solluvaanga. Kaasu thaanaa thedi veetuku varaadhu. You need to go fight the world and get what you want. When you get that, YOU decide what you want to do with it. Color aganumnu compulsion lam illa.
4) @rajvel.rs I love you ❤️ you looked at me the same way back then, the way you do today. So boys & girls when you find that person, hold on to that person🥰 Thanks again for this beautiful memory ❤️ cherishing it! Lots of love to all ❤️❤️❤️” She added.
